Chez Couronne's Diary Notes

Entry Title Note Posted
N/A I believe this will be better, once they finish with their idea's of softwear.  I will try and visit you at xanga, from time to time.  You'll be missed here![Denny] 2004-10-28 10:08:05

N/A I'm not sure I like it here either. I haven't decided what I'll do but I know I am glad to be at the other site we mutually enjoy. I'm real disappointed with the changes here at MDD. See you on the other side .........[ToastedNuts] 2004-10-23 15:33:49

N/A You may have given this out before, but would you e-mail me your Xanga diary? Thanks, ~A albedo3@hotmail.com [Albedo] 2004-08-10 08:48:49

N/A Hi I like white trash dumb chicks...will you give her my number? [ATNR1] 2004-07-30 00:24:27

N/A Where ARE YOU? [quitchick] 2004-07-03 09:53:26

N/A I read your latest Xanga entry and am the first here to say CONGRATULATIONS!!! But one over there got it wrong - NOT a Xanga baby! An MDD BABY!! [Manduhsmomma] 2004-06-23 16:31:35

N/A :) [Manduhsmomma] 2004-06-14 14:00:18

N/A I had abortion (2), one when I was 22 and the other one when I was 28, both on the account of birth control mishaps. While it is not something I wish togo through with again, it certainly didn't traumatize me. While not being one to judge on the matter -obviously- I can hardly fathom, however, how someone would allow themselves to go through this 12 friggin times... [AD] 2004-06-14 01:31:21

N/A She sounds like the beginning to a very funny diary! I need more character's like this one. [Denny] 2004-06-12 10:05:06

N/A Have a wonderful weekend! I saw that you signed my guestbook over at Xanga. I probably won't write in there again until MDD goes under again. Thanks for visiting, though! As far as the abortion goes, you would think that women would learn somewhere along her 12 pregnancies to use birth control... [ColoradoJen] 2004-06-12 08:46:17

N/A discombobulated. That's a fun word to say. lol Did you get your work done? [VR] 2004-06-11 17:22:50

N/A Oh, when I'm working out, I'm not social at all. I just want to concentrate on getting the best workout...which I guess I should get back to doing instead of staying up too late and sleeping in each morning. ;-) [chastetek] 2004-06-11 15:22:06

A LEGEND IN MY OWN MIND Ah, the button fly challege. . . : ) [Albedo] 2004-06-09 17:00:03

A LEGEND IN MY OWN MIND Hey I think you are funny...looking...that is. No really I'm just kidding...it is not polite to make fun of someones looks...but damn...you are funny...looking...shit there i go again.Umm that's not funny, but hey I try. It seems to come more naturally to you. Damn You!!! Now I feel depressed... [ATNR1] 2004-06-08 00:44:06

A LEGEND IN MY OWN MIND That is just awful what happened to you with your ex-boss. I am glad to hear your happy ending. My, you handled that situation very well. You are very brave. And yes I am TNuts at xanga. What is your name over there? I will add you to my faves at both sites. Let me know ............ [TNutsa.k.aToastedNuts] 2004-06-07 21:04:19

A LEGEND IN MY OWN MIND Oh ok,it is a sideways smile,i have to tilt my head, thats cool. [bungalow bill] 2004-06-07 14:17:28

A LEGEND IN MY OWN MIND That is a different comment, empty space? [bungalow bill] 2004-06-07 11:37:20

A LEGEND IN MY OWN MIND You definitely are somebody special! And I agree with you that every person is a legend. [ToastedNuts] 2004-06-06 19:41:40

A LEGEND IN MY OWN MIND Why do we sit here & recount every sordid detail of every day that only we find funny/horrifying/ hysterical or otherwise? BECAUSE WE CAN DAMN IT! Hahahaha! [Nightscape211] 2004-06-06 16:12:44

A LEGEND IN MY OWN MIND I like reading about your adventures, too. Rest assured you are not banal or egocentric or I would not waste my time here. *I'M* the egocentric one. Just kidding! [quitchick] 2004-06-06 12:13:42

A LEGEND IN MY OWN MIND I enjoy reading about your adventures!!! I'm caught up! Sounds like you overall had fun camping, despite Rick's GF. I'm suprised they are still together, but some men just don't get it, do they??? [ColoradoJen] 2004-06-06 08:42:47

A LEGEND IN MY OWN MIND When you're like me...button fly's are no problem. It comes with experience!! You gal's get all the action you want and don't want and still gripe! This is why divorce is so HUGE in this day and time. YOU NEED TO BE GRATEFUL!! LOL! [Denny] 2004-06-05 10:26:07

A LEGEND IN MY OWN MIND huh-huh, huh-huh. "Ninja Pussy." ;-) [chastetek] 2004-06-04 12:46:48

Memorial Weekend In The Sierras Sounds like a wild weekend. Much like my own. I would imagine it took you three days to rest up after that one! [Denny] 2004-06-04 10:36:16

Memorial Weekend In The Sierras I use to go camping a lot, your entry reminds me of the fun it is.I have never been out west, maybe someday. [bungalow bill] 2004-06-03 17:59:02

Memorial Weekend In The Sierras Great entry! Sounds like you guys had alot of fun.. I want a road trip, she said whining! <-me [VR] 2004-06-03 17:27:07

Memorial Weekend In The Sierras That sounds like an awesome weekend trip. My wife and I like to go out camping once in a while either in the Poconos or in the Catskills. And I agree about the Blue Album. I'm a huge Weezer fan. [alejandro] 2004-06-03 13:37:54

Girlfriend Mac b**** LOL [Manduhsmomma] 2004-06-03 13:13:00

Girlfriend Mac b**** Looks like you and I are covered all over the place. Thanks for hangin' in there with me. At least we have another place to go..in needed!! [Denny] 2004-06-03 11:14:21

Girlfriend Mac b****

My Dear Anonymous: Thanks for the swell insight! I will work on the cute and funny stuff at a later date when I am trying to entertain psycho anonymous folks like you. I don't see the need to just yet as I get plenty of validation/support from real commenters.

Suggestion: Humans have been blessed with the ability to communicate in writing for a while now. Let's not regress. In case you missed first grade: U = You; U r = You are - or - You're. Next time, you'll really make me stand up and take notice because of your command of written language! Hope that helps. :) [Chez Couronne]

2004-06-03 10:50:54

Girlfriend Mac b**** RYN: Thanks, I'm glad there is a site to come back to after all. my e-mail addy is cruzin667@hotmail.com in case we ever get disconnected. I'm surprised that someone who actually played Lady M. would lack insight into the character like she obviously does. Weird. [quitchick] 2004-06-03 08:37:34

Girlfriend Mac b**** Hey thanks for the smile. Here's one back...*grin* Pardon the missing tooth. By the way, you are wayyy to intelligent for me. My head still hurts from reading your entry. Who is this Shakepeare dude? Sounds like a bastard to me. [ATNR1] 2004-06-03 05:47:56

Girlfriend Mac b**** You are so much nicer than I would have been. I would have said, what the hell is your problem woman? And gone on from there. You must be more mature than I am. [Jen B Goode] 2004-06-02 17:15:35

Girlfriend Mac b**** Why cant we just all get along, some people, you got to wonder, all you can do is make the best of it and consider the source, take care. [bungalow bill] 2004-06-02 14:19:55

N/A We were going to grill fish over the weekend too, but alas, after FOUR days, still no fish!! Pathetic! But of course that was 4 guys trying without me telling them how to do it! Guess I should have gone. [Manduhsmomma] 2004-06-02 10:50:40

N/A Every married couple thinks something is wrong when the nookie part stops, but nothing could be further from the truth. I've been there...done that...been in hell with it...for many year's. People naturally lose their attraction to each other. It's the human way. I really don't believe that we're to love one person only. But, that's merely how I feel, based on my experience. [Denny] 2004-05-21 09:40:36

N/A Check out my diary. :) [MDD pHoTo aLbUm] 2004-05-21 01:06:21

N/A LMAO - that toilet bit was hilarious. :) Hey, Doug used toilets in one of his room designs on Trading Spaces...just tell them you're copying him and you'll get away with it. :) [MotherAlli] 2004-05-20 13:31:48

N/A Boys and their vehicles. It is funny. Congrats on getting the nookie issue squared away. (-: [haggadar] 2004-05-20 12:29:31

N/A I should be scared of Denny then since I am a short little white boy. [alejandro] 2004-05-20 09:17:42

N/A It's amazing, but those "short little white boy's" USUALLY are more than one expects....much more. [Denny] 2004-05-19 09:37:50

N/A @#$%^&* government... [Nightscape211] 2004-05-18 20:44:19

N/A Every morning I just start my day by bending over and touching my toes, and get ready to be screwed over by the powers to be. [bungalow bill] 2004-05-18 17:42:58

N/A Hi sweetie. RYN: Carter was and remains highly intelligent. I am not sure what caused him to be so ineffectual as a President. One thing would be his own moral conscience that he would not lose any of the Iranian hostages if he could get a chance, another one was that he allowed the Joint Chiefs of Staff to play politics with the attempted rescue of the hostages and regarding the economy and the double-digit inflation of his Administration, much of that was left over from Nixon taking us off the Gold standard in 1972, so our paper money was no longer backed up by the value of our gold bullion stockpile. You can say that most of Carter's problems were created for him but he still wasn't effective in dealing with them in the eyes of the voters. [chastetek] 2004-05-18 15:18:22

N/A I know Chez but guess that is the Kink in me LOL [onesexeemomma] 2004-05-18 14:22:14

N/A it's not just the wonderful government of California that's prone to evoking high high levels of frustration - it's a worldwide epidemic...sigh :) [Paige_99] 2004-05-18 13:15:03

N/A I'm sorry you're not liking Cali so much these days. I have to admit, I love visiting, but I hated it when my parents lived there (in Costa/Mesa and Irvine). Now just bring a beach with you to Tucson and you would be set :o) GO LAKERS! [ColoradoJen] 2004-05-18 11:37:25

N/A wow...now I'm kinda lost. What's all this about taxes eing levied against your pay check and What The Heck are Vouchers 8??? [AD] 2004-05-18 01:26:06

N/A RYN: Jim is an ex ex ex ex boyfriend of mine who is still a very good friend. He had a stroke a couple of years ago. [VR] 2004-05-17 18:19:05

N/A but California has the sun and the terminator. how can that be bad? compared to England maybe :) but still... [soaked to the bone] 2004-05-17 18:11:44

N/A Thanks! I'll take a Cafe Latte if there are any left. Here's your mint. [Kanawiosta] 2004-05-17 16:12:06

N/A Hi sweetie. RYN: I believe Mr. Clinton graduated first in his class at Harvard. Any guesses who graduated higher than him? For some reason they decided that they would rather do public service than make a lot more money practicing law, though Hillary was a practicing attorney for a while. [chastetek] 2004-05-17 14:51:54

N/A So I'm definitely not portabling my government assistance to California. You're welcome to join me in my plan. Sick to death of working and having someone else take it all when a bunch of lazy asses are living better than me with no phucking stress. Of course you'll have to come to Illinois to get your Section 8 voucher since California ran out of money for theirs. [Lona May] 2004-05-17 14:26:34

N/A :) [Manduhsmomma] 2004-05-16 20:30:12

N/A Maybe you should call and wake up Mr. ARNOLD S. If you have to suffer, make him suffer, too! [Denny] 2004-05-16 10:19:09

N/A When you wake up, just bend over and touch your toes, society will take care of it from there. [bungalow bill] 2004-05-15 15:59:13

N/A I know nothing about sports or basketball, but I do know I have some rookie cards of some people. I just hope they continue to do good and continue to go up in value. Wanna buy some basketball cards????? [haggadar] 2004-05-15 03:17:28

N/A I agree with VR.I do not follow the NBA,but maybe Lebron can make a difference for the Cavaliers. [bungalow bill] 2004-05-14 21:57:04

N/A I went to my first professional basketball game in December. It was great! Although I don't watch it on tv, I did enjoy being there. Of course, we have Lebron James. Wooohhhoooo. He kicked some butt! He's supposed to be a really good kid too. It's nice to finally have a sports figure again that Cleveland can be proud of. [VR] 2004-05-14 18:57:12

N/A I can't believe it! You were raised in and/or near Boston? The only thing I like about the Celtics is Paul Pierce but of course he isn't enough to hold down the team or become a superstar.

I loved yesterday's game too. Then again the Lakers are one of my favorite teams. I don't say that in public much [when I'm in Philly] since for some reason, there are still die-hard Sixers fans, even though the team has been horrible for years. [La Vie Est Belle]

2004-05-14 18:18:28

N/A I agree MAN LAUNDREY=TROUBLE [Manduhsmomma] 2004-05-13 10:56:13

N/A It IS a man thing - and when a woman is elected as President, she'll designate many hours and tax dollars towards research for this baffling syndrome. We should have a cure within the next 50 yrs :) can ya wait that long?? :) [Paige_99] 2004-05-12 21:26:05

N/A One of the best times I ever had in my life happened on a couch. Naturally, the couch had to be thrown away after that... [Denny] 2004-05-12 09:34:44

N/A that's the ONE thing I'm gonna miss about AX! He is the laundry guy! BTW -http://www.visualware.com/personal /products/visualroute/index.htmlcan trace any Anon and such, if you feel like it! [amyb] 2004-05-11 21:22:23

N/A Hey, laundry is normally my chore, though lately while I've been so busy with work and school Mistress is doing it during the week and I don't have much of it to do on the weekends. [chastetek] 2004-05-11 14:15:11

N/A I don't mind doing laundry... seperating the darks from the whites... trudging down to the basement of our apartment complex... etc. My only problem is folding the clothing. I can't stand folding. So my wife and I have a compromise... I place the laundry in the washer and dryer and bring it back up to our apartment and she folds everything. Seems to work well. [alejandro] 2004-05-11 13:34:25

N/A It must be genetic. A male thing. A is always forgetting his clothes in the dryer, or worse...in the washer. Sometimes for DAYS. Or else he takes the clothes out of the dryer, but leaves them in a heap in the laundry basket on the living room floor. Then he is angry when the cats jump in and sleep on the clothes. Duhh. So he usually ends up re-washing the entire load, only to forget it in the dryer again. (rolling my eyes). [Dippity] 2004-05-11 12:39:56

N/A "OnStar infidelity spy system"....hmmmm Now, we're expecting RUSSIAN spy's to infiltrate our cooling system? LOL! I didn't like Friends...never liked it..thought it silly. However, I felt the same about other #1 Tv shows in the past like, M*A*S*H, Bob Newhart, RHODA, Mary Tyler Moore,etc...I've always despised the top shows..but, ten years after they're gone..I LOVE 'EM! Go figure! [Denny] 2004-05-08 09:32:29

N/A Congrats on the new car!!! $9000 off sounds like a steal! And that is very exciting about Dave binging up baby stuff on his own... yay!!!! Have a great weekend! [ColoradoJen] 2004-05-08 09:22:30

N/A 9 grand knocked off? HOLY CRAP!!! Oh, and I own the first seven seasons of Friends...I'm a Friends-aholic, I guess. :) I've loved it ever since I first saw it...but now I love it more because I can relate more to their earlier seasons because I"m at that place in my life. It's absolutely awesome. GOSH I love that show. The later seasons aren't my favorite, though...the early to middle seasons are the best. :) [MotherAlli] 2004-05-08 00:33:54

N/A RYN: I'm in Cleveland, the weather is pretty wacky sometimes. I love watching Friends. My favorite characters are Phoebe and Joey, although I do like them all. [VR] 2004-05-07 19:08:32

N/A I've never cared about "friends" either way, although I think Lisa Kudrow is funny. What is a "spy system"? Sounds interesting. [quitchick] 2004-05-07 18:59:31

N/A RYN: Oh, I fully expect a new Islamic Republic to pop up the instant that US forces are withdrawn and they will be worse off than before. I suspect "Islamic Republic" will be the new Communism and we will have to wage still another COLD war against idealistic extremists. Some fun now, right? [chastetek] 2004-05-07 15:28:47

N/A Yay! Sounds like things are looking up! [chastetek] 2004-05-07 15:26:42

N/A Don't worry about menuPAUSE...depending on your relationship, it might come quicker than you think. My wife came down with it the minute our baby was born! [Denny] 2004-05-07 10:41:43

N/A Midsummers night candle...mmmmmmmmm.....I'm sniffing one now. Doesn't replace a man but it sure makes one feel better. [VR] 2004-05-06 21:51:08

N/A That is a hard one. It's a good thing you get to decide, or is it? Amazing how much can change in a year. [Jen B Goode] 2004-05-06 17:40:08

N/A Time does go by too quickly doesn't it? ryn: lmao about the Velveteen Rabbit:) I really hope my kids don't end up creeped out by some of my emotions :) lol...:) [Paige_99] 2004-05-06 17:10:35

N/A I had an 88 Honda Accord but eventually had to trade her in for a new Civic. I was extremely sad but she just wasn't as reliable as she use to be. And besides, both passengers doors wouldn't open due to some ancient injury. If I were you I'd keep the Honda. But I'm slightly biased. So your hubby likes Betty Page? Nice taste. Gotta love vintage porn... LOL [alejandro] 2004-05-06 15:36:58

Be Prepared I'm still not sure about Xanga...I've tried it a couple of times, but this format is so much easier for those of us who are..uh...computer challenged? :) [Paige_99] 2004-05-06 12:17:28

Be Prepared Chez I am not sure but I think you read Tank Berkawitz's diary. Just a heads up. His wife passed away in a terrible car accident. Don't mean to be a downer but didn't know how long since you had read his diary. [onesexeemomma] 2004-05-06 11:52:41

Be Prepared i think everyone has a co-worker like that! Have fun at Xanga! It's not for me! They say it's where the grown-ups are! Me - I like to hold on to the last peice of Juvenile Delinquency I have! As for the Anons and Negative Comments - Pish-Tush as my Grandma would say! It's a computer =for the Universe Sake! - delete it or keep them and laugh! I do!:) [Amybee] 2004-05-06 10:20:28

Be Prepared Opinions are like butt-holes...everybody has ONE! [Denny] 2004-05-06 09:41:13

Be Prepared THe inevitable? What? Why? Now I'm beginning to sound like the woman who doesn't like change, heh. Usually when everyone tells me that I HAVE to read a book I don't like it, i.e. "The Bridges of Madison County" but the fact that this particular one is causing such a furor among the fundies might make it a little bit more appealing. I agree with the premise that censoring things just because certain people are too stupid to weed out fact from fiction is unjust, insulting, dare I say unholy? Bah! [quitchick] 2004-05-06 08:55:43

Be Prepared I am now double posting. What's your Xanga name?

I couldn't work at home, I would spend the day watching Springer and napping. Oh, and all of this would be done while sitting around in my underwear, with dirty teeth and non-combed hair. Sad. [haggadar]

2004-05-06 08:23:47

Be Prepared I hope we are thinking of the same certain fav minus one @ Xanga. You sound very chipper today. I can't imagine working from home- I'm sure it's everything you describe. [Jen B Goode] 2004-05-05 22:52:18

Be Prepared Depressed negative coworker, did you read my 9th entry ? I have a air-conditioner,hardly ever get to use it,from Ohio.My job i have too much human contact, sales. So the Priest can read the book, then tell others they should not, control freak.Read my 5th entry if you like.I like the way you think, take care. [bungalow bill] 2004-05-05 21:25:28

Be Prepared My Aunt and SIL read that book. If it is supposed to be evil I'm surprised my Aunt read it, she is very religious. I thought about posting an email address in one of my entries, I tried Xanga, but right now prefer MDD. I really need to copy and paste all of my entries into word just in case something does happen. I have some of them down already. I think Xanga is where everyone goes though. [VR] 2004-05-05 19:02:46

Be Prepared For me... I don't see working from home as being easy at all. It would be too hard -- there is no way I would find the dicipline to actually do work! So, I give you a lot of credit! Haven't read the Da Vinci code. Oh, and RYN: Don't know ALL of the cranial nerves --- not yet :o) I should though, I really should! [ColoradoJen] 2004-05-05 18:35:03

Be Prepared I was beginning to feel neglected by the negative commenters! :) I feel much better now. [Chez Couronne] 2004-05-05 17:50:24

Be Prepared YOUR LIFE SUCKS! [I Hate You all] 2004-05-05 17:45:26

ANKIMO Good for you on trying the Ankimo. You're more adventurous than me! [Elisheva] 2004-05-05 13:53:26

ANKIMO RYN: haha! That is exactly why I like it! I thought I was the only person that thought that about the Midsummer's Night candles. Too funny. I will skip on anything to do with livers, gizzards, anything like that. Yuck! One of my friend's mom made me eat liver once when I was little. I took one bite then ran to the bathroom and threw up! I never had to eat it again! Luckily my Mom doesn't like it either. [VR] 2004-05-05 10:26:59

ANKIMO No, A is clean shaven (used to have a goatee) and has very very short wavy dark blonde hair. No earings or tattoos on the boy. [Dippity] 2004-05-05 10:23:55

ANKIMO thanks for comment,i dont blame you for not commuting, lucky you, working at home, must be nice!I drive less than 5 miles to my job,it is amazing how many crazy drivers you can run across in that short distance, later. [bungalow bill] 2004-05-05 10:13:22

ANKIMO You know something else that is strange? My neighbor's quiet, serious spouse was suddendly replaced by a bald, goatee wearing, tattoed guy with earings (yes, he has them in both ears) recently. We really DO have a lot in common. [Dippity] 2004-05-05 10:01:09

ANKIMO Sounds too rich for my blood too. eeeeyyyuuuucccckkk! I wouldn't be able to get past what it was! [VR] 2004-05-05 05:42:33

ANKIMO amen to that, Jen! [AD] 2004-05-05 05:30:24

ANKIMO If a husband is smart he deems every woman he works with unattractive, even if it is not true. [Jen B Goode] 2004-05-04 17:29:25

ANKIMO I'd like to see their faces if and when you ever tell them you sometimes work naked. ;-) Actually, although it's cold and rainy here, naked would be nice right now. Either I have thong shaffing or A overdid it in the oral department. Oh. Doh. Too much info there. Sorry. [Dippity] 2004-05-04 12:21:09

ANKIMO Hey there, I let you in over on Xanga. I hope you'll consider writing over there, too. Even if it's just to double post what you're putting here! Makes a good back-up, cuz these days you just don't know with MDD... [MonsVenus] 2004-05-04 12:15:47

ANKIMO "Work naked?" ;-) [chastetek] 2004-05-04 11:43:58

ANKIMO A hot fireman sounds nice, but the sushi, I think I would be a bit squeemish about it myself. I'm afraid of uncooked (or barely cooked) sea life. [haggadar] 2004-05-04 11:42:59

ANKIMO There's two things that are IMPORTANT....Washer & Dryer....and AIR CONDITIONER...and they're the tuffest two item's to find the money for.... [Denny] 2004-05-04 11:31:13

Doom & Gloom RYN: OMYGOD they must all have exlamation point itis (is that a documented disease?). Seriously, BC does that all the time. Sometimes there are 4-5 exclamation points. And if I copy proof of his mistakes, he sort of "loses" the evidence before he gives me back the file. Har. Gotta laugh at them. [Dippity] 2004-05-04 10:28:22

Doom & Gloom Very interesting father analogies. [Manduhsmomma] 2004-04-30 09:47:54

Doom & Gloom i understand it all - my Dad left when I a bit older but I had a 12 year old brother who wathced him walk out the door. He didn't go far - he saw us every weekend, and worked across the street - But he was "gone" in alot of other ways. There is alot of me in my dad. The same sence of humor! The ability to say DONE! and walk away from someone with out doing to much of a lookback- just knowing when somethings over. What is interesting, is that what I love and hate about myself, I also love and hate about him! [amyb] 2004-04-29 21:02:37

Doom & Gloom From our FATHERS?!? Well, that explains a lot. Yeah, I was surprised by the WC doc too. A woman in my office actually tore her tendon in the same spot as RJ... her doc (who is one I know & trust) said the only two ways to treat are immobilization or surgery. Any movements can make the tear worse. That, and this is not RJ's first "big" injury either. He's not much of a healer and a walking disaster. The combo always has me on edge.. and forced me to invest in decent life insurance... [Nightscape211] 2004-04-29 20:11:19

Doom & Gloom RYN: Not just that but I'll be working 6 days per week this summer and I'll have limited Internet access since my dad is very wary about me using his computer so getting online will be a hassle, let along checking faves and reading comments. [La Vie Est Belle] 2004-04-29 18:14:19

Doom & Gloom I didn't know they could predict earthquakes that far in advance! [La Vie Est Belle] 2004-04-29 17:49:13

Doom & Gloom Sorry you are in a sour mood! Believe me... I feel like that (with no apparent reason) time and again. I think you should call your professor friend. He probably needs friends right now... so I don't think it's too forward of you. Keep us updated! I'm with you on the earthquakes. I lived in Costa Mesa for a summer, and earthquakes were my biggest fear (on top of drive by shootings... where were rampant when I was there). Is this the erathquake that's going to give Arizona the ocean??? Smiles... [ColoradoJen] 2004-04-29 14:05:40

Doom & Gloom RYN #1: I like the British version of What Not to Wear better too. It's funny, and it's only 30 mins long. :) RYN#2: I don't know what it is about the Da VInci Code that is making people go crazy. I mean, it's a good book, but it's not the BEST BOOK EVER, or anything. I bought it cause a million people had told me I HAD to read it too. [Elisheva] 2004-04-29 13:32:40

Doom & Gloom I'm never met my biological father seeing he left my mother while she was several months pregnant with me. I've never had a desire to ever meet my father in person since everthing I need to know my Mom has volunteered freely. My Mom has a picture of him from when he was in the military and I am an exact spitting image of him sans the red hair (I've got brown hair.) Sometimes though, I am curious to see exactly how he acts and behaves because my Mom and I are definitely two opposing personalities. [alejandro] 2004-04-29 10:23:38

Doom & Gloom I've noticed my reactions are like my dads, as well. I wish it was different, and I'm trying to be WHO I REALLY AM...and it's not easy being me, as I've said before. [Denny] 2004-04-29 09:32:34

Doom & Gloom EIKES!!! the thought of the emotional genes coming from the father's side of the pool IS scary. Maybe you could culture some of the stuff on top of your fridge and see what grows? :) [Paige_99] 2004-04-28 21:52:06

Doom & Gloom I can't fathom the possibility that my father's brain would supply my emotional development. That would be totally screwed up since he is such a closed off mental case. I know for sure my split second seething anger comes from him. I think you have to come to a point where you can make peace with what your father gives to you genetically, and know that stuff you don't like can be changed. As far as sense of humor goes, I know I get that from my mom :) I can't believe you haven't been in a CA shaker. I have and it's freaky! Stock up on that bottled water. [Jen B Goode] 2004-04-28 17:15:31

Doom & Gloom maybe you should move to wisconsin where shake shake shake is not a worry and you can also learn how to ice fish [Paule Reubens2] 2004-04-28 13:08:52

Doom & Gloom What? Tell me more about this whopper. I'd like to know seeing as I live a hop, skip and a jump away from the San Andreas fault line. I'm glad to hear that emotional reactions stem from Dad's genetics. My dad is much more reasonable than my high-strung, neurotic mother. [quitchick] 2004-04-28 12:56:11

Doom & Gloom I understand what youre going through with your father. and about the genes, i see things in myself that relate to my father and they werent learned behaviors because i havents seen him in 8 yrs. so, genes are a possibility. I used to think that most behaviors are learned but some must be biological. [RoyalHazel] 2004-04-28 12:30:24

Doom & Gloom The top of our fridge has Mardi Gras Jesus, standing there with his shades, covered in leis and holding a beer can while making a peace sign. We also have St. Francis the Sissy in some kind of decoration. ;-) [chastetek] 2004-04-28 11:59:06

N/A lol love the Project Spawn name :) [Paige_99] 2004-04-27 23:17:48

N/A No buttah! The bastids! Glad to see Dave is coming around on Project Spawn. Anyway,it's good to put a lot of thought into important things. Too many people just kind of HAVE kids and plan later. Oh, Nirvana. That makes me sad. I picked up a Kurt tribute in "Spin" magazine the other day. Depressing. [quitchick] 2004-04-27 15:10:25

N/A Project Spawn? At least you won't name the child that - I'm hoping! I've never liked being in the minority since stereotypes and racial insults are more common when people of one race know they greatly outnumber another. America is one big power trip. [La Vie Est Belle] 2004-04-27 13:17:26

N/A saw a news report last night on how Atkins is totally taking over the world (read USA) and this one woman said something of the extend that asking for bread in Cali was so outré. Her word, not mine LOL...anyway. Was PMS-ing this past week-end too... I wish I could be as disciplined as you regarding sun exposure, but I take solace in the fact that i lather up in 80IP sunscreen, which effectively turns me into one weirdo looking albino LOL ! RYN: Mellow's just so cool, I simply can get it when people get nasty to her. Oh well, another anecdote to remember fondly (?) when I'm old and gray and singing Duran Duran at the top of my lungs... [AD] 2004-04-27 10:55:11

N/A RYN: That would be the one. I helped her sister do it, it was very upsetting at the time for both of us, her sister did not find out until a couple of months afterwards. Now I know it is one of the best things I have ever done. I love that little boy and if she can't make the right decisions for herself she certainly can't make them for him. Because of that I get very annoyed with people who take the easy out instead of doing the right thing. I am very thankful for the child services agency in the county that we had to file in. I was expecting a big runaround and we were very scared that they would put him in a foster home temporarily. Luckily we had someone else that helped us out and gave us hospital papers with the addict diagnosis and I had paperwork for a restraining order that she had filed a year before. That's all we needed the agency took care of it quick and clean. What a relief! [VR] 2004-04-27 10:53:06

N/A VERY glad to hear that the hubby is coming around on the baby issue. I'm WAY happy for you!! *HUGZ* [Atomic Fireball] 2004-04-27 09:05:17

N/A I doub't I would refresh the nail polish every 2-3 days, I would probably just end up switching the color. I think the super sheen just fades a little if you don't. [MonsVenus] 2004-04-27 08:49:47

N/A Great 'every other year' idea! [Manduhsmomma] 2004-04-27 08:40:43

N/A OLd folks drive OLDSMOBILES! I want a Lexus - and I want it now - as my second car - First car - something red and sporty - a ticket magnet. BTW - Its not where you go! It's who you go with! So Beach it and be glad you didnt wake up to poring rain like I did. Speaking of which, be glad YOU WOKE UP! I've had enough Wakes for awhile:) [amyb] 2004-04-27 07:38:49

N/A I want to be the crazy old woman who sits in a rocking chair on the porch with long silver hair touching the ground, a shot gun in one hand and fifty cats roaming the yard. Hehehe. I LOOOOVE the beach... but hate the burning. ouch! [Nightscape211] 2004-04-26 20:20:59

N/A Yay on the progress you have made with the kid idea!!! Pretty soon we'll hopefully be hearing that you are preggo! You crack me up with your every-other-year sun, but it is a good idea! My dermatologist in Tucson told me that I should wear long sleeve shirts and pants everyday in the summer because of my fair skin.... yeah right! Have a great week! [ColoradoJen] 2004-04-26 15:34:37

N/A Wow, you ARE in a good mood! Glad to hear it! I'm on a no-sun kick right now too. I wore a sunhat and sunglasses and sunscreen all week. [Elisheva] 2004-04-26 13:35:49

N/A i can believe it is not buddah [Paule Reubens2] 2004-04-26 12:12:20

N/A Once, I walked into a restaurant...everything on the menu was at least $17.95....first thing I asked, "YOU DO HAVE REAL BUTTER, don't you?" The waiter told me the had the best margerine available....NOT BUTTER! I got up and walked out! You don't want to fool with MOTHER NATURE!! LOL! [Denny] 2004-04-26 12:02:53

N/A I'm working on how not to get old.... ;-) [chastetek] 2004-04-26 12:00:06

N/A Yup I want to be driving some cute little car, want to still have colored streaks in my hair, want to have longish hair that I braid and wear in loose buns. Want to have many cats and write naughty stories when I am old. I want to be different. [Dippity] 2004-04-26 11:50:54

N/A I think my personal main reason for comments is just to know that people are reading. There is an audience, friendly or not. Makes my writing a bit more directed. And makes it really easy to delete the nasty ones! :) [Elisheva] 2004-04-26 11:30:52

N/A I too have a couple on my fave list that I cannot stand so I really don't understand why I even bother to read them. I think it is just the incredulity that they really think the way they do. Eventually I get completely fed up and delete them though. Oh and RYN, - ADHD. Imagine, 46 and ADHD. Luckily, not my problem. Oh yea, about your sex shoes entry and the questions it illicited (yes, I had several of your entries to catch up on) they can be quite addictive can't they? Once you have them it is just never quite the same barefoot, is it? LOL [Manduhsmomma] 2004-04-24 15:32:42

N/A lol...I recognized a number of my own fav's on your list :) that was cute :) [Paige_99] 2004-04-24 11:41:04

N/A What great descriptions. I'm really curious who these MDDers are. Any chance of sharing your list? [islandhopper] 2004-04-24 05:12:42

N/A I like it, I like it, I like it! [quitchick] 2004-04-23 14:30:23

N/A Please tell me I am not on that list! Ha ha...even if that is, I find it funny. Anyone can get a graduate degree...but who does is what counts. : )

N/A "But when a negative comment comes around, does that mean it is less useful (minus the purely uncomprehensible-grammatically and the perverts with unique fetishes)?" ..... HMMMMMMMM I think I RESEMBLE that remark!!! LOL! [Denny] 2004-04-23 09:19:09

N/A I don't mind the negative ones. Sometimes, if I'm in a rut, they can really light the fire under my ass... [Nightscape211] 2004-04-22 21:55:48

N/A Haha. My bestfriend calls this my "Secret Society"! I like your descriptions! [VR] 2004-04-22 18:09:32

N/A I want you to visit me too. Don't you think sometimes it is a little weird how close we are to each other, but have never met? Some of your people I could figure out, but others I couldn't. [Jen B Goode] 2004-04-22 17:34:41

N/A well of course - I just had to comment! I like comments - I don't even mind the negative ones! I can give as good as I get! But I really would rather know where the comment is comming from. That way i can evaluate it's worth. There are plenty of people who I enjoy reading and have developed a nice Relationship with and then of course I am can get lured into the "flame wars" which, I generally regret. (Keep quoting that line - WON'T GET FOOLED AGAIN! But I do. But my feeling is this! Nobody goes and starts an online diary - with out risking the fact that people are going to comment. Be prepared to be validated, insulted, and everything in between - Just consider the source. There are certain people here - whos input I really look forward. I have been dissapointed by others. But isn't that life?

Now as for art! I think I write some of my best stuff - when I'm angry or feeling pasionate about something. Certain events - sad ones - bring me to a place- where I could not go other wise. That's not to say, I don't enjoy Celebrations as well. I think it all serves to motivate us. Thanks for your comment, too! [amyb]

2004-04-22 15:51:26

N/A Love the names you give everyone. They have intrigued me to start reading some of your other favs that are not already on my list! As for comments, if the person is open-minded enough, a negative comment can make a positive difference, I think... but there is one individual I'm thinking of in particular on here that doesn't care what anyone writes. They are right and justified in what they are doing and will go to great lengths to come up with any type of excuse. So, I guess it depends on the person. [ColoradoJen] 2004-04-22 14:40:13

N/A art is an act of "love?" Well, perhaps. I tend to think of it more as an act of passion, which may or may not be love (depending on how you want to define "love") ;-) How are you doing, kiddo? [chastetek] 2004-04-22 14:09:40

N/A yeah i do. yeah do not understand anonymous or derogatory comments in anyone's diary. Obviously people have nothing better to do. I too need to hit the gym. Too bad I don't have the eye candy like you do [onesexeemomma] 2004-04-22 14:03:43

N/A i have two cats and am more than witty i would say onerous, deliteful and snarky..thanks dude...save me some cheddar ball or are the new and imporved schweaddyy balls....haaaaaaaaaa [Paule Reubens2] 2004-04-22 13:42:14

N/A ;-)) [Dippity] 2004-04-22 12:30:51

N/A Anybody need a free "that"? [Chez Couronne] 2004-04-22 12:13:03

N/A I think you did the right thing by not commenting. If you did put down your true feelings and this person really is a whacko, they may decide to start visiting you....and leaving mean comments. [haggadar] 2004-04-22 10:20:12

N/A Your comment may or may not make a difference. Some people on here are so close-minded and ignorant that is seems nothing will help, but I if it offends me personally I find it hard not to comment. [ColoradoJen] 2004-04-22 09:35:47

N/A i find the positive comments help me a lot. They make me feel better inside, like someone knows exactly what i'm dealing with, whether they really do or not. The anon morons and inflamatory remarks hurt more than i'll ever let on, but i guess that's the nature of the beast. We all come here for our own reasons and i find it highly annoying when someone reads my diary and then leaves some comment about how i have no grasp on reality or that what i'm doing is wrong. I'm all for tolerance and sometimes reading a diary you may not agree with can actually help open your mind to another thought process. [Masters pet] 2004-04-21 22:41:27

N/A I like to know what other people think. Somet times it gives me a perspective to consder that I normally wouldn't. Then again, if your buddy there is watching Springer on a regular basis... they probably don't know how to read the lines without skipping words and phrases. Lol. :-) Thanks for filling me in on the Princess House parties... lol. [Nightscape211] 2004-04-21 20:37:51

N/A I know who you're talking about, I think. I love flip flops, but I liked calling them thongs better. [Jen B Goode] 2004-04-21 15:10:19

N/A I find positive comments to be a positive aspect to this site. There is a certain comfort in knowing that others we will never know have feelings and experience both the joys and sorrows of life. I read lots of diaries that I never leave a comment in. Wouldnt it be funny if everyone on here wrote down their favs.. some I read are so outrageous and ridiculous, I wouldnt want anyone to know I read them..LOL - [Timbo2] 2004-04-21 14:25:50

N/A I wish they would come back with exersoles by Thom McCann. Every year at school clothes shopping time I would get a new pair and so would all of my friends. I have read some entries that I thought about commenting on too and came to the same conclusion as you. Forget it! Maybe just type in the website for Springer! [VR] 2004-04-21 12:15:52

N/A Comments affirm me. they make me realize we are only "Dust in The Wind." Without comments I am banal. [Paule Reubens2] 2004-04-21 11:39:25

N/A Ah comments. I think everyone depends on input, which is why they have diaries in the first place. I do get annoyed by those (primarily teenage ages with no self-esteem) who write one-sentence entries saying "How come no one comments on my entry?" I stay away from those who only want negative attention because I don't have the energy to leave comments on those type of diaries. [La Vie Est Belle] 2004-04-21 11:06:01

N/A I think that in some cases our comments in others' diaries do count. I know I've certainly gotten a certain amount of support and definitely lots of smiles from most of the people who leave comments in my dia
